What is Company Closure / Strike Off?
A company that has not carried on business for two years, or never started operations, can apply to the ROC to remove its name from the register. This is called a voluntary strike off and is done through Form STK-2.
Before applying, the company must clear its liabilities, close bank accounts and file pending annual returns. Once struck off, directors are free of ongoing ROC compliance for that company.
